Front number plate bracket

Just taken my number plate off and I'm left with this bracket.


Seems to be held on by 5 screws through the bumper. I want a cleaner look without the bracket, are they screws or rivets?

They are rivets, you need to drill them out from the front.

I plastic welded the holes up in mine before getting resprayed.

Mine were screws had the holes refilled. Looks much better without the bracket!

Yeah definitely recommend getting it removed makes the front end much cleaner if you move the plate just loads of nasty holes to fill and respray. Not got round to doing my new Z yet but it's definitely on the cards

Looks better without the bracket and it does need a respray, 92k worth of stone chips!

Took reg holder off and resprayed it sterling grey to match the car. Looks much better and tidies it nicely just awaiting new reg plate now to finish it off. Very easy cheap little mod.

I'm going to loose the bracket but that means buying a personalised plate too
