Front Lower Grill/Grid Help - FURTHER QUESTION

OK guys so cleaning the Z in the week and noticed the front lower grill had come away from the bumper -
Pushing the grill inwards and upwards puts it back exactly where it should be with a health "snap" back into position -
Only problem is one short run up the motorway and its pushed back out I'm guessing by the air flow at 130mph ! (only joking) even at 50mph the grill comes away again ?

Anybody any ideas on how its fixed and can it be repaired ? remember for me I'm not good with any of this stuff so primary school style answers are welcomed !

can you see if the securing clips are still attached to the grill?
I take it you've not driven into any badgers lately

Cheers Smartbear - Ha ha ! No Badger Bashing ! Don't know if the clips are intact ? If I get my hands behind / underneath the front skirt I can feel small pins which the grid quite happily will sit back on to ? It's as if the retaining clips have come off ?

I have not bumped the car so have no idea how it's got damaged - I scaped it on a high kerb about six weeks ago but noting serious ? And that was the very edge of the front skirt just a scratch ?

Any ideas on how it be secured back in place ?

There are no airbag sensors in the bumper. Had mine off about 10 times now. Takes about 10 minutes to remove.

If you have headlight washers, the pipe for the n/s jet runs along the bumper at the bottom. It can come loose and gets caught, which may or may not be the reason your grille is coming loose.

If not, probably a securing clip has broken off. Nothing some super glue won't fix, i'm sure.

Hi badger

the slots you see in the grill fit over pins which are part of the bumper, clip no.10 then is pushed onto pin to secure grill

BTW, i believe you should be able to access it by removing the plastic belly pan, not 100% on that though :|

Brilliant guys ! As always you amaze me with your knowledge I will have a play with it later today after work weather permitting ! .............. To be continued !

Ok had a good look at this and it looks like glue is going to be the best option ?

Has anyone used "Gorilla Glue" ?
