I am about to buy a Z4 3.0 in the UK. I live in France and I will have to address an issue with the front lights. Obviously they are set for RHD cars. How wide is the tuning range? Will I have to change the front lights as I did on my Uk Hilux or just tune them to LHD driving?????

UK lights are different in that they have an assymetric beam pattern projecting up and to the left thus lighting the leftside of the road, path, hedge, etc. They can be converted temporarily to EU use by sliding a beam cut off lever, but all you are doing is limiting the light beam to a flat horizontal pattern and thus reducing their effectiveness.

Frankly I'd buy a set in the EU and resell the RHD ones

I cannot of course speak to French testing or import requirements
