Feeling a bit sheepish writing this...

I've swapped the grilles between cars several times, to change from black to silver and back again or just for a better quality set. Never had any issue - until today. To be fair it's two or three years since I last did it, but they seem stuck and it's not helped because I can't remember the technique. :headbang:

Is it lift and pull the top out, or lift and pull the bottom out?
(It is lift though, isn't it?)

I know the grilles are OEM, aren't glued in, and have a full complement of clips - because I fitted them to my lad's car in the first place.

So, reminders on how to easily get them out gratefully received

cheers

Be careful - process is well documented but the bumper design is pretty crappy. The plastic tabs in the grill surround of the bumper are very weak and so if you're not careful, they snap off quite easily. And those tabs (or the frame that "accepts" the grills) are not replaceable. Then you're stuck with loose grills and the only fix is to JB weld them.

There was a fella on the other forum who was able to 3d-print those pieces but was very reluctant on sharing the files because it was less than perfect and thought it'd be too much of a headache for others.

Lift and pull the bottom out.
Cheers Martin - job all sorted now (new bonnet badge. Well, it's not on the bonnet but what else do you call it?)
Grilles were tight, having all clips and tabs in place, and I was reluctant to give it the sufficient tug til I knew I was doing it right. Could have sworn it was top out, not bottom, so glad I asked!
