They've got loads of choice. Suppose it depends on your definition of 'decent'.

Ye looked on there and the price is per item and need 2 items. So for basic Brembo's its £422 for a pair. That's not far of Big Brake upgrade money..

Couldn't help thinking of you when I saw the thread.

A disc is a generic term for anything that is inherently round and flat (like the Earth).
A disk is a generic term for any computer storage facility. Came from the term 'floppy disk' I believe.

I put the R1 Geomet Carbon rotors on my car and am very happy, highly recommend.

Wright... Silly question time..

I got the Zimmerman 348disks from Autodoc but before i change them i noticed the hubs are different. The Zimmerman are just a plan metal hub the ones on the car have those metal round disk things, what are they and is that just a cover that goes over the hub?? I have changed breaks on many cars and bikes in the past but this is my 1st BMW..

I believe the original BMW ones are two piece discs and probably the Zimmerman ones are normal one piece design.

Zimmerman offers usually at least 3 grades of disks..cheapo which are one piece..premium which are two piece and sport which are two piece with drilled rotors..

What are the benefits of the two piece discs?

Lower mass as usually the hub is made of aluminium rather than steel and less distortion under extreme load as the brake area is isolated via the rivets from the hub..one piece disks tend to distort when heated to very high temperatures…

So it looks like i got the cheap ones.. I will let you know if i feel a massive difference between the 2. But to be honest i don't drive it hard.
