Hi Guys,


Just wondering if you have any idea of a standard price BMW would charge for the above.

I've got the extended monthly warranty so I guess it would only be a parts charge?

Anybody had their's done recently?

I was meaning labour charge, I wont have to pay that, only parts...

It would not be covered full stop, they will not pay for labour either.

Brakes count as 'wear and tear' so they wont cover parts or labour unless they are damaged.

Get some from eurocarparts.com and geta local garage to fit them

I got pagid discs and pads all round for £180 + £75 to a mechanic to fit. BMW would be about 3 times that!

Sorry, but no!

The clue is in the plural form of the word(s) - for example Brake Disc (no plural 's') usually means 1 item, whereas Brake Pads (with a plural 's') usually means a set.

So you're looking at about £250 for parts (2 x £58.16, 2 x £35.84, 1 x £37.54, 1 x £29.96), plus fitting, maybe a fluid change, and maybe a handbrake adjustment (or shoe replacement if needed).

Frankly having re-read this thread a couple of times now, the only person who has displayed a disgusting attitude is you by personally abusing someone. You asked for advice and you were given correct and factual advice by PVR and Mmm-Five.

Honestly, DeeCee, Tony's comment was one of mirth... stick around for a little longer and you'll see this is what he's like. Knows a thing or too about brakes as well. There are lots of personalities here, not all will get along, but lets not start name calling.

Just make sure the brakes are the right size for the SE / Sport, depending on model, they're a different size, but the description on the web site sounds a little generic.

EBC Greenstuff don't suffer from brake dust problerms and will work fine with OE discs.
