What are the best replacements for these? Normally I would say Meyle But I used Meyle top mounts on my rear shocks and they knock, so not sure the quality is really as good as claimed

Do you need new arms or could you just change the bushings to lemforder ?

I had this MOT advisory. Front Lower Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement rear (5.3.4 (a) (i))

Assisted with the fitting of Meyle rear bushings and wishbones on a Z3 last week, the Meyle rear bushes were a real tight fit to get on the wishbone pins, really could have done with a fitting tool but brute force managed it in the end. Special tool to remove and fit these is available but quite costly and from the USA, not found a UK supplier, maybe worth making one.

Is this only an issue if keeping the arms on the car and only changing the bushes? I guess if you were to do everythign on a bench it would make like easier? Not judging, just getting some information for the day I'll have to do it as well

They were fitted on the bench and were really difficult to get on the pin, couldn't have done it with the wishbones on the car.

I went Meyle HD because the ball joints are replaceable (unlike every other one).

But if you don't want Meyle, then I'd go Lemforder.

Lots of grease gets them on by hand, It's all in the angle pushing them on, if they snag pull of and apply more grease.

They had copious amounts of rubber grease applied to them but even with that they were extreamly difficult to get on the pin, the chief spannerman did say they were the worst he had come across and he has done a few in his time.
