Front Clear Vinyl Body Protection

I wondered if anybody had front clear body wrapping put on their car to protect from stone chips etc. Do you think it is worth the cost and could you recommend anyone?

The wife and I had that on our Honda Accord in the states. Worked pretty well for stone chips. The two caveat's would be if one lives in a very sunny location. As the film will absorb UV and thus will cause uneven paint fading over time. The film can also shrink over time from too much sun, Thus exposing a line of adhesive that readily collects dirt. I imagine that too much sun is not a huge issue in Britain though. All in all it worked well on the family runabout.
 
I was talking about this yesterday with the guy who sprayed and fitted my Spoiler. He seemed to think it was a good idea and investment if you want to keep your front end as chip free as possible.
 
As part of buying my Zed I have got BMW to flash the bonnet and bumper as the stone chips were shoing through (black car and white undercoat!!)

As it will be like new I think I may get the bumper and bonnet covered but it is about £500. Not sure about it at that price?

Hmm, it is reckoned that the protection lasts upto 5 years, I had my bumper resprayed a year and a half ago at a cost of £150, it needs doing again, so say £300 over 3 years and £450 over 5 years, it would probably work out about the same apart from the bits inbetween where I have a stone chipped bumper + your price is including the bonnet. :thumbsup:
 
500 seems a lot. im sure there ws a guy doing it for the westfields as they aquire all sorts of s**t on the rear arches from the front wheels. i dont remember it being that much for the whole car.

im not convinced myself. i think maybe from smaller stones but a at speed does it really work?
