Front Bumper Splashguard

Hey guy,

I noticed today while washing the Z, that the front splash guard is gone. :headbang:

Does anyone know how to replace this? Or even just the part number? I can't find it on realoem.com

Also, how long can I go before replacing this?

Which part are you referring to? The part that covers the headlights or fog lights? Or something else?
 
Never heard of a 'front splash guard' and I feel deprived as I havn't got one.

I wonder if possibly you mean the wheel spoiler? The small rubbery flap located in front of the front wheel, designed to counteract the negative effect on airflow of the rotating wheel and tyre? Nothing to do with splashes though.

Glad you found it, but how on earth did you come up with that desription of 'front bumper spashguard' for and 'engine compartment' screen??

On the e34 M5, we used to call them oil catchers, as they collected all the oil seeping from the engine before it hit the ground underneath wherever you'd parked :P

In the e34's case I believe they were call 'air guides' and were supposedly to help smooth the airflow under the car.

+1, I thought you were talking about the face bra for the Z :lol:
 
Haha...I have no idea why I chose that wording...it really doesnt make any sense! :lol:

I hit some stuff in the road (our wonderful Oklahoma roads) and when I got home to check it all out, I saw that it was gone! FML
