Front bumper off

Due to an unfortunate accident involving SWMBO starting the car in gear in a car park im currently in the middle of changing the front bumper leaving me with 2 questions;

Is there any other jobs i should do while the front bumper is off?

and ive transferred the grills and fog lights over but the black number plate holder is riveted on so do i drill it out and try and fasten it back on? or just stick the plate straight to the bumper or relocate the plate to the lower grill?

I personally would reuse the plate holder.
Putting no plate on bottom grill will stop air flow.

Stick plate to bumper. I have that done on mine.

I've fitted my number plate (shorter plate) on the lower grill and have no issues
