Morning,

Found one of my front bumper clips to be broken on the nearside of my 3.0si coupe.
The one that clips the bumper to the wing.

Before I go to the stealers does anyone have any about that I could buy off anyone?

Many Thanks

Appreciate your asking to get around the cost, but having just replaced one myself I can confirm they're very minimal monies.

Does anyone have some tips for removing the old ones? I must of struggled for half an hour removing one last time :headbang: and should I have to do it again I'd love to know if there is a simple trick, as mine was well and truly clipped into place and with almost no access to push it through from the top.

I managed to remove one using one of these. The wing was off the car at the time which helped. I have new ones to go on my car when I re-attach the bumper I have just had sprayed so will be doing again and intend to do how to.

A screwdriver will not work as you cannot get any leverage on the tags. You need something with a bend it it like these.

Small pliers from inside the wing behind the liner and just snap the to of the clips off. Brittle plastic, so break easily and takes about 15 seconds to do.

I need some help on this. How do you put the new clips back in? Do i clip them to the wings and then try to get the bumper on or do i clip them to the bumper before attaching to the wings? Any help urgently appreciated!!

Looking on tis it looks as though the clips are designed to break, i.e. single use. I now don't feel as bad..

I forget the exact wording, but I always took it to mean single use from the wing as that's the most robust bit. The bumper should come on and off with a little care.

Correct - wing first
They are designed to snap on minor impact so if you tap the bumper you don't bend the wing and get a real big bill
The bumper will clip on and off many times to the bracket, but with age tend to sag ( don't we all..)
