Front bumper brackets

Today I found that one of my front bumper brackets was broken. This is the clip on bracket each side, top/front wheel arch/wing. A quick search on eBay and a few came up but they were all £30 ish each! Best part of 70 quid a pair! Ouch!

Has anyone sourced these at a more reasonable cost?

Nope. First time I sourced them, probably way back in 2013, they were £25 each from BMW. Last pair was a couple of years ago and they were £30 each.

need to do mine too.. another shitty made part on these cars, some days i wonder how bmw seem to have a reputation for well made motors, as much as I do love my zed it really does seem like poor build quality in a lot of areas

probably a good part for those with 3D printers to make. They should be a bit more flexible too which can only be a good thing.

on a resin printer it would look like it but the strain it takes would probably make it too brittle or one time use.

Id have rather them use screw connections and have to take arch liners out to get to the screws

I think they are sacrificial, better to replace a £30 bracket than the bumper or wing if you catch the bumper on something.

sacrificial eh? much like most of the engine gaskets, roof motors, ignition switches, fog lights, rear springs, headlamp washers etc etc etc.. there are in my humble opinion way too many parts bin parts on these cars! or should that be parts that end up in the bin :D :D

The number of engine gaskets I've replaced I'd call them consumables
