Front Bumper Brackets Dont Fit?!?

Hi All,

Have any of you had an issue getting the front bumper brackets to fit? They were brand new and are in the wings so I cant really take them off but the bumper will next click in fully :headbang:

Ive been fixing cars for years and had my other mate who is also a mechanic try and we are bamboozled - its the right bracket but something seems to stop it? Ideas please!

Did mine the other day and they are a pig to refit.
But I managed in the end after applying a spare bracket to the bumper to see how they mate and then realising that the bumper has to fit inside the bracket at the back near the wheel, not outside.
Line up the 3 tabs on the bumper to the 3 recesses on the bracket and you may have more luck.

Here is an alternative solution to fitting BMW Bumper support Brackets Total Cost £22

No need to drill the metal brackets, only the front bumper (20mm Cone Drill)
I removed the existing bolt and replaced it with the Exoracing 8mm rod. See pictures.

If it is the same issue I’d make a notch in the bumper and leave the extra bit on the bracket.

Yes it was the same issue - so strange but got it sitting flush now
