Hi,

I am thinking strongly of moving up to a Z4M coupe... i have done my research on it but i would love to hear the opinions from those of you who have already moved up from a 3.0l Z4 to an Z4M (i currently have a 2003 3.0l Z4)

1 - are you noticing serious differences in the MPG... is the Z4M much worse than the standard 3.0l
2 - i was surprised not to see a sticky for "Z4M Coupe Checks" or "Buyers Tips" - can anyone point me in the right direction
3 - any other advice greatly welcomed

thanks in advance to anyone who can help, much appreciated...

gives you a start

I'm currently averaging 24mpg in my Z4MC in the first 1k miles of ownership on a mix of country and fast A roads.

I think most Z4Ms average 22-24 MPG mixed driving. You can get 30+ on a motorway run if you take it easy but it isn't going to be as economical as your 3 litre. I moved from a 2.5 Z4 and just accepted the extra cost in superunleaded, tax, servicing, etc. Nearly 4 years on and it's not a decision I've ever regretted :)

Ok cool, couldn't be that much worse than my 3.0... what other everyday cars / jeeps in the roads are the same as the m coupe

My mixed driving gives me a 26mpg average. Yellow fuel light comes on at about 260 miles every week and takes 44-47 litres each fill.

Mixed driving for me is 25% towns (stop start) and 75% motorway/dual carriageway (180 mile 80mph cruise)
