Well, my amp got fried and found out even a used one is around $300 so I decided to upgrade the radio portion of it and temporarily run without the amp in the trunk but am stymied in trying to get the aluminum facing off the dash that is covering the radio. The book says that you use a wooden or plastic stick/spatula to pry it off and that is a bunch of bull! I have tried more drastic means taking care not to dent or bend the cover trim plate but it appears to be bolted on instead. How do you get to the bolts/screws to get the brushed aluminum face trim off? It has not been the greatest of days because I must have bumped a wire in the trunk by the amp so that now the top doesn't work and the Haynes manual doesn't even have a wiring diagram for the top motor! I am beginning to think I should have stuck with my old XJ6 Jag!
