i dont own a polisher so entrusted the job to little local guy, wanted to get rid of the paint swirls that had built up and he did a pretty good job, its not perfect but i didnt pay 300 quid either......£40 later here we go......

Looking good! I've got a black Zed too and I'm not sure I know what people are referring to when they talk about paint swirls.... I've noticed on mine that more and more tiny light scratches are appearing all the time, presumably from me when I wash it, but am not sure... I'm hoping they'll polish out!
 
lots of little scratches from washing is exactly what the swirls are. looking at your sig pic makes me impatient for putting my 108s on....
 
I actually just tried to get rid of my swirls today! I bought a DA polisher, some pads and some Meguiar's swirl remover. I tried for quite a while to remove the swirls (after washing, clay bar-ing, etc) before giving up and returning everything to the store. Either the stuff definitely doesn't work as advertised on YouTube, the polisher was crap ($150), or I just suck.

It still looks good but it's not as perfect as I want it. Maybe I can find someone locally who can take them out for me.
