Sounds great , where in France are you heading ?

Staying between Reims and Paris the first week, then slightly further south the second week to Troyes. Weather looks a bit of a mixed bag, but who cares when your in France.

Have fun, we are off on the 29th for 2 weeks in the Zed. Chamonx, Lake Como, Munich, Prague/Czech, Eindhoven. Can't wait.

Enjoy. I'm on the evening ferry tomorrow evening, taking the E30 down to the Black Forest.

Nice nice! Planning on taking mine to France with a mate before too long. I'll keep an eye out for any hot tips :) Bon voyage!

We've just got back from the Black Forest...So that was Belgium,France Luxembourg Germany and a small foray into Switzerland..the Z ran well and we had enough space for luggage and an emergency spare...bloomin sat nav had a 'mare on the morning of the return journey and also managed to direct us into the centre of Brussells at rush hour..got to Zeebrugge fior the overnight ferry with about 10 mins to spare..

Trust you will take pics at the old pits in Reims. We are there in around 2 weeks or so. Been here since April in a motorhome. Currently near Montpellier at meze

Nice time for a grand tour, we're halfway through a england-france-belgium-luxembourg-germany-switzerland-italy-france-home trip
Italy wins hands down so far, but still have the azure coast to go :driving:

Well i got loads of pics to post on my French trip so far including the old pits outside Reims, but everytime I post a pic its the wrong way round??? :tumbleweed: :headbang:

Yes, great to see those photos.

I drove down that road in 2004 and foolishly never stopped for photos.

Mind you I'm even more annoyed I never took a photo of the Targa Florio pits when I was in Sicily. :headbang:

Mr Tidy, it just means you will have to plan another trip across the water with the Zed to take those pics you never took, its a must, I plan on having one of my photo collection framed, just spoilt for choice

You're probably right, as last time I went was years ago (in a Leon Cupra).

Next year will feature a round number birthday, so perhaps I'd better start planning!

That's exactly why I went, big round figure of a birthday, its a must.

Just finished a 2000+ mile trip around France, avoiding tolls. Down to Bergerac and back, stopping in Orleans on the way there and Troyes on the way back. Love the French roads, so smooth and quiet.
Stayed a night in Ghent, Belgium before catching the ferry at Calais. Would highly recommend stopping there before coming back to UK to anyone driving around France. Hour and a bit from Calais and cracking beer! Beautiful city too.
