Wondered if anyone can advise..

I've bought a car which I'm importing from Japan..arrives at Newcastle in late March.

The goverment web site /systems seem to be in chaos..non of the systems I've tried to use work or require extra software / procedures for what is a one off event.

Can anyone advise of a simple freight forwarder that can clear the car from the port and additionally provides transportation of said vehicle to my home address. I don't need any of the vehicle approval processes, I can handle that part.

There’s a few firms that specialise in imports from outside the E.U. notably from the US and Japan

There’s a big one based in Yorkshire I think .. maybe worth a chat with them and see who they use ?

Hi Andy, I've sorted it now thanks..£95 for a boutique handler to do the bare minimum HMRC docs..thanx!

Ooooowwww Supra ?

I am a Freight forwarder since 1978, if you need any help at any stage

That’s very kind..I think I’m ok...as I said I’ve paid my fee and uploaded the docs that the freight handler has requested..

I’ll see how he gets on/what happens now...car is on a slow boat from Japan now arrives UK end of March.

I’ll come back to you if he lets me down / disappoints

It’s not a Supra :tumbleweed:
