Packaging: Paisley Freight

I was wondering if they have an option to package something for you when they come and pick it up (4 x 18" wheels with tyres to be specfic) or does the sender have to do it themselves?

Before you ask... Their phone was busy all day and I couldn't get through. :)

I've always found I got a decently quick response from emailing them as I rarely got through on the phone. Might be worth trying that?

IIRC though they're really just a booking agent with an account with City Link, so they don't really ever handle the packages themselves so I doubt they offer anything like that. You having issues getting a seller to post something?
 
a11y is right and they are just booking agents.

I have never found a courier at competitive rates that packs anything. It has to be done by the sender prior to collection.

Even whels need to be packed but sticking each in a bin bag is acceptable as a minimun.
 
Used Paisley recently for 4x108's with tyres bought off Ebay. They requested that each one was packed seperately (black bin bags are ok) & labelled with the receivers name & address.
The seller was happy to do this for me, & I got them 36 hours after making the booking on the net.

I've always done mine surrounded by bubble wrap with cardboard (i.e. almost 1cm thick) on the top & bottom of the wheel.

Not really the original question, however I have always shipped wheels in a similar manner to mmm five.

Either cardboard circles taped to the face then wrapped in bubble or bin liners and labelled, or in the case of one courier taped together in pairs face to face.

With tyres on the only vulnerable area is the alloy face.
 
Problem is that the sender can send the tyres this Friday, but won't have time to package them properly by then and hence the query, which morphed into the new one. :)

Hopefully he can manage that if not then it will have to be the following week. :(

I can see that. Always a problem when you win something and it's not explicit that they will pack or ship or even do it in a certain timeframe.
 
It's from a forum member and to be fair he's been quite helpful at getting them to me as quick as possible.

I was just hoping I'd have the car ready by the weekend. Either way it won't though. :(
