Last day of legal use today - car on Sorn tomorrow until May ! Took it out this morning to remind me what its like - clear sky but bloody freezing ( no point in having one of these and not going topless ) Heated seat full on - nice touch. Probably looked a proper tw.t driving around with the roof down in winter but sod it ! Even if I do say so the car looks absolutely stunning even if it is nearly 9 years old and as the current mileage is only 29500 there's no reason to believe it won't go on for years ( touch wood )

Roadsters forever ! ( no offence to you Coupe guys )

Well done gov!!

You are a braver man than me :D

May is quite late to come out of hibernation isnt it? :?

6 months tax can be either April to September or May to October - usually do the former but this year thought I'd be different - also have an old vw camper that we get out for summer so can stagger the tax and keep to April for that one.

I suppose I shouldn't be such a tightwad and keep it on the road all year round !!!

By the way. Not being from nor in Britain. How much is the road tax per year?

In my home state of Washington before moving to Germany. Reg tax for the Zed is $30 per year. In Germany I paid $32 for two years of reg.

1 arm and 1 leg. + 2 pints of blood if you own an M

I was going to say... Why sorn it? Keep my M on the road all year round :driving:

Sounds like it needs driving a bit more if its only done 30k in 9 years. :poke:  Its only £265 a year road tax... Its only like a tank of fuel to keep it on the road all year round instead of 6 months... seen as tho its not an M.

If last year is anything to go by our best weather will come in April, when we had that ridiculous heat wave then it was miserable for the rest of the year.

We had very good weather down here in October - I have to admit being a fairweather driver so for several months a year it will stay in the garage - we have two cars and a camper so I suppose - with only the two of us left at home ( children long flown the nest ) taxing it for only 6 months allows me to justify having three vehicles. I bought the zed last August and have only covered 500 odd miles but they have been fun miles!

I take it then. That your Zed is an automatic. :D
Hopefully they at least give you a cup of tea and a biscuit to replenish the blood supply.
