Free oil top ups with Service Inclusive

Needed an oil top up recently and went to the parts dept. Told them I had Service Inclusive but told it wasn't included. Just looked on the BMW website and "Oil top-ups between services" is included :evil: http://www.bmw.co.uk/en/topics/owners/service-and-maintenance/servicingoptions.html
Methinks I will be asking for a refund next time I go in to pick up some free oil :)
 
Mine used just under half a litre while running in and not a drop since, so its unlikely you'll need to top up again... Go get your refund!
 
I was told you need to drive in with the oil light showing it needs 1 litre to get the free top up.

Not what I call convenient. Be interested to see how you get on but not hold much hope.
 
Free oil top up is a nice gesture / gimmick but could you really be arsed for a tenner :? your time spent + fuel costs to get there & back ?
 
Two types of service inclusive, with or without oil. I'm service inclusive but get charged for oil between services

You sure? According to the website it's included in both options.

Only if you have to make a special journey. If you happen to pass the garage on the way to work etc etc then it's not a real issue. Took 10 mins last time, free coffee etc.
 
i didn't know this, but as my nearest dealer is 20 miles away i wouldn't really feel inclined to go there for a top up due considerations of running costs and my time.

i keep a litre bottle of the correct grade synthetic oil in my garage, so far in running 2 E89's over almost 3 years i have only needed to top up once, and that only took half a litre to cancel the warning light.
 
Sod's law I said no need for top ups once run in.. On a run to Newcastle this evening mines just asked for a half a litre! Doh lol
