Hi all...apparently BMW ag has had the free NEWTIS site removed... and is now offering a subscription site...

Through the AG-hard site, the heads-up discretionary multi-media is permitted.

Actually better than previous versions, including the LODIS-5 and, come to think of it, 6.

Am I alone in not understanding one word of that?

Nope - I just heard scribble... This is why I like purely mechanical things

2500 $ per year for a subscription!?! :? Well, it has been convenient to browse freetis from a pad, but from now on ISTA-D and TIS on a laptop will do.

I've got it on a disc somewhere but it can be really useful having it one click away on your mobile so the loss of NewTIS is a ball ache. Thankfully those naughty Russians still have a version up, it works OK so long as your browser auto translates for you. It's better than nothing :)

Sorted my access to TIS by using the Russian site as posted by @ewazix, I use Firefox as my Browser so added an extension to Firefox that enables automatic translation from Russian to English, it puts a google translate icon in the address bar at the top of the page that when clicked translates the page your viewing. Works a treat.
Firefox add on is here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/traduzir-paginas-web/
Once installed it can be set to automatically translate from the site when its accessed.

there's no E89 section unfortunately

but, one doesn't need TIS, as all that info is part of ISTA-D as well

it was definitely way more practical, than launching ISTA-D all the time, not to mention that it was online

How so :?

It's not a tricky concept. It automatically translates in most browsers with no fuss, so I posted about it as it might be of interest or use to someone without INSTA etc. If you have any useful alternative please post it
