Free MR Shock Absorbers

Got a set of 4 M roadster shocks lying up in the loft, free if anyone can use them. They'd done about 25k miles before I swapped them for Bilsteins.
I live near Glencoe but I go to Glasgow occasionally so can meet up with somebody there or en route if it helps.

They'd cost a bit to post and I don't really want the hassle.
 
Hi there I'm really interested, but I have an MC and realoem shows different part numbers. But Bilstein seem to offer the same part for both models so if anyone knows if these would be OK on a Coupe that would be really helpful.

Do you have springs too?
 
Hi, they would fit as the struts are interchangeable between the Z4MR and MC, that said I believe the struts on the roadster are valved a little softer than the coupe, I’m sure someone out there can be more specific.
 
No, I don't have the springs, sorry. One side was broken and I gave away the other 2 to somebody on here.

I believe they are different rates on the roadster versus coupe, how significant that is I don't know, sorry.
 
Well living in Surrey logistics might be a problem, but I am planning to be North of the border for a weekend at the end of May on a trip Argyll Andy has organised, so if you can wait that long I'm sure we could work out something. A lack of springs may be no bad thing anyway given how often they break!

But if anyone else is interested in the meantime that's not a problem.
 
Mr Tidy has first refusal really, he was first to ask. If he doesn't want them now then you can certainly have them, they're just lying gathering dust in the loft.

Not noticed a ZR around here recently, I'm in Onich.

Given the potentially complicated logistics for me and the fact that they are actually MR springs it makes far more sense for you to have them so I'll step aside. :thumbsup:

Hi, I’m in Glasgow and if these are still available I’ll take them please. Happy to drive to meet or grab them next time you’re down this way.

Very nice :-) I really miss mine when the weather is like this. Anyway, drop me an e-mail on [email protected] and we can arrange for handover. I'll nip up into the loft and get them down.
Oddly enough my son and grandkids are in Aberdeen. Small world eh.
Sadly I've gone all sensible and run a Model Y now. Fast, quiet and great for the dogs, as well as costing buttons to run. Sadly the roof doesn't go down though!

Unfortunately the rest of the world seems to agree, took me almost 4 hrs to get from Glasgow to here yesterday...
