Free index 12 fuel injector

When I had my 35is, I changed a bank of 3 injectors. When my Indy took the three out and replaced them with the new ones, he returned one injector and told me that one didn't need replacing as it was the same index 12 as the replacements and it looked OK.

If anyone needs or wants a single injector (No guarantees obviously if it is OK), PM me and you can have if free except for postage.

Only costs a couple of quid so not worth bothering about and if it’s no good at least your not out of pocket.

May take a few days via Royal Mail with their industrial action so hope not urgent.

They are worth about £250 each on ebay at the moment. New ones are close to £500. Very generous!

I can't put it on ebay as I am not 100% sure it works as it should.

I had an issue with at least one of the injectors on one of the bank of three. I replaced all three and this one, as far as my Indy could tell was fine. The other two were gunged up. It's no good to me as it's from my e89 35is and I don't think it's any good for my G29. (If it does fit the G29 please don't tell me).

So as long as it goes to a good home and it works then fine. If it turns out that it is faulty then nobody is out of pocket.

I have had a lot of free and helpful advice from this forum, so if I can help someone else then great.

When Warranty Direct replaced my injectors for me they insiste that all 6 must be changed.
I would hang on to it you will definetely need it yourself

Don’t think an index 11 injector from a 35i would be any good on a 30i G29?

FWIW BMW service advice on,y specifies one bank ie 3 need changing of one is faulty…and then only if the other injectors are at certain revision levels

If you get the job done under a warranty then would agree, replace all six if someone else is paying. But when it's coming out of your pocket why change a bank that is working fine?

I don't think the spare now winging it's way to hopz121 would be any good in my new girl so why keep it when someone else may benefit?

Not yet Rob, none have worked out just yet. I am swaying towards a cayman 2.9 currently.

The injector is actually for a mate who has a 135i and this would help him out. I need some for my current daily too but they aren’t the same unfortunately.
