CANBUS Error free LED Sidelights

So did some cleaning on the E86 today and noticed that one of my LED sidelights was a bit discoloured. Tool it out and replaced it with a couple of spares I had from Classic Car LED’s.

All went well and then suddenly both front indicators came on with the side lights.

I started the car, they went off and then about 3 minutes later I got the bulb indicator on the dash.

I’m assuming it is throwing a current issue.

Anyone got a link to LED sidelight that work and are fairly bright?

Philips or OSRAM: https://www.amazon.co.uk/OSRAM-LEDr...802ab05a5ca9980e&th=1&psc=1&gad_source=1]link

But you'll need to have the bulb checks coded out. This is infinitely better than the 'CANBUS compatible' crap. They're not clever, they just add a load resistor. Which gets hot. Then burns out.

IMHO - either get some decent LEDs or just put some normal bulbs back in.

Rear brake bulbs are worth doing too, again with a decent brand and having the checks coded out. All my LEDs have lasted 7/8 years.

Thanks Steve. Did you code it out with Carly?
You're welcome. I use NCS, but Carly will be able to do it. I can't help with the options though as I've never used it

For NCS these need to be set to not active (nicht_aktiv):
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_RE
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_LI
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_RE
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_LI
CC_STANDLICHT_RECHTS
CC_STANDLICHT_LINKS

You might also be interested in setting front sidelights as DRL, that's an option that exists.
