Free Adobe Creative Suite CS2

Creative Suite 2 is the full set. If you only want photoshop, just take that. The individual programs are listed below.

There's a column that shows win or mac.

The .DMG is the mac version just download all the mac parts.

Saw this on Canon rumours. Pretty good although the Raw codec might be a bit fluffy unless they have updated it.....??

Its a free update but it doesn't allow you the newest codec, I have CS5.1 at work and CS6 at home but the new Raw codec for CS6 and LR4 is completely different just allows you to use newer cameras with the older versions.

Seems it's not quite as simple as CS2 for free :(

There has been clarification since this story broke. Adobe has not released the CS2 software for free. Instead, it has cancelled its CS2 license management servers, so for those with existing licenses it is now offering downloads that do not require contact with the licensing servers. This service is only going to be available for those with existing Adobe CS2 licenses, which will be verified when creating the Adobe account to download the software.

Oh well, if something seems to good to be true...

The CNET article may be wrong, I just tried and was able to download all the parts without being asked to create an Adobe account - and the serial # is there too!

Haven't done a test install yet, so there may be a stumbling block there, but it may be worth grabbing now just in case it's a glitch that they'll rectify soon

Its so old it wont work with Mac OSX Lion as they dropped support for all programs designed to be used with power pc chip. CS2 and CS3 even CS4 I think... used to run in a virtual machine called rosetta.

If you are running Lion then you will need to downgrade to Snow Leopard to be able to use it, it will run very slowly indeed. Its so old and so slow its barely worth having might as well buy the latest version of elements it will have pretty much the whole functionality of PS CS2. Elements is 64 bit so will run much better on newer systems.

Just tried installing them on a PC with no previous Adobe products and there are no serial numbers for Photoshop or the Creative Suite?

My last place of work was still using Photoshop CS2 when I left, in fact I'm sure they probably still are. Some clever person decided against paying for the yearly subscription for a world wide license :headbang:

The serial number for CS2 is on the Adobe site in the link provided in the first post

Ye it is very much lacking compared to the newer versions. I remember even back when it came out it was very slow. Worked much better on Windows machines.
