fredej's silver grey 3.0si coupé

Clean car (and photography too).

Must add Sweden to my bucket list once COVID blows over

Thank you everyone. :)
Sweden can be very beautiful. It also helps that the Z4 is very photogenic.

Regarding the current situation, Sweden have much less restrictions than most other countries in EU. Each citizen has her own responsibility to minimize social contact and keep safe. If it's the right approach or not, I don't know. I guess time will tell.
However, it means that we can move around relative freely are allowed to go for drives. :play:

Here's some more sunset shots from a few days ago.
The photos were taken at Fjärås Bräcka, located about 40km south of Gothenburg.

Last week I had the Z4 in for service. It was time for an oil change.
At my request they also did a wheel alignment. It wasn't out by much, but they did some adjustments to it. Now it drives really well.
I went on a drive this morning on some of my favorit roads. Very much enjoyed it.
Here some photos from a stop on the way.
(Same photo location as the sunset photos above, but now in daylight and about month apart)

Great location - how old are the standing stones?

It is a fascinating place. The standing stones are believed to be from late Iron Age to the Viking Age. (according to Wikipedia, the place is called Li's graveyard.)

Some photos from a stop at Getterön, Varberg during a trip around Halland in the beginning of June.

Today I went for a proper drive on some of my favorite roads. I felt great after a month of mostly city driving on bad and broken roads during my commute to work.

I went on a drive in the Alingsås area yesterday. I stopped for some photos in the middle of the woods.

An update to this thread since I had not posted anything since July.

The Z4 has been in hibernation since early November.
I'm really looking forward to spring and to take the car out again. Hopefully next year will be less complicated than 2020 has been.

Nevertheless, 2020 has been the year I've driven the car the most in my ownership. I have managed to drive 6800km, mostly weekend km. It's been a great way to get a break from everyday life.

After having changed tires (to non RFT) last season and having done a 4 wheel alignment in the spring, the Z4 has performed very well.
However, during autumn I noticed that some coolant seems to disappear from the system. I sometimes can see (what I believe is) some water droplets on the under tray. It appears to only leak when the system is under pressure. But I can't find from were it is leaking. This has to be adressed next year.

As usual I like to take photos of my Z4. These are from an amazing drive back when the autumn colors were at its peak.

Some more photos from a memorable autumn drive. I really miss those weekend drives. Hopefully 2021 will feature many more road trips!

It's close to the end of February, only a month to go until it's time to take the Z4 out again!
Here's some photos from October last year. It's the Fjärås Bräcka location again.

The Z4 is now out of hibernation! I'm really looking forward to weekend drives this spring.
I don’t have any new photos of it yet. So here's some from spring last year.

Great Pics! Love the way it looks and the scenery you choose in them. Which site did you get the headlights from, I've got an older style (2004) but I love the angel eye look and I believe the headlights are usually interchangeable 03-08! I just haven't heard any feedback about any places that sell them unfortunately :(

Thanks NewToZ4! :)

My car is all original and has the facelift xeon headlights. They do feature a single halo for the side lights. But it's not that bright and barley visible in most conditions.

There is aftermarket halogen headlights available that feature (brighter) dual halos. After a quick search I found this thread. There's probably plenty more threads as those headlights seems to be a popular modification.

Thanks much, I was looking for headlights and was trying to find this thread actually!
