Found something new. What is it, please?

Kuh, the things you find. Had 35iS for 6 years & 70k miles. Looked in boot yesterday and, in right-hand front corner, saw what I thought was a plastic plug. You know the kind of thing - keeps panels from falling out.

Anyway, it's bright green and may not be a plug, because it's come out of its hole and looks like something you pull. An internal boot release, perhaps?

Do E89s have 'em, please? I ain't climbing into the boot and shutting the lid to find out.

Can’t remember for definite if it’s the same thing but it may be a manual release for the fuel cap?

It’s the Brexit reverse button. If you push it, you’re back in the EU. Don’t touch it !

It didn't work… is there a troubleshooting guide?
Farage has a call centre. Based somewhere overseas powered by Dyson.

I couldn’t find said thingy. But then, we Brexited in America so long ago, they didn’t bother adding a reverse button.

Seriously, where’s this thing ?

I am in the EU (Ireland) - no exit - and am still loving the freedom of travel etc.

If it's the round green plastic unit on the right hand side, then it's the emergency fuel cap release.

Now here's the trick - Don't PUSH it as was mentioned above.
Instead, you need to PULL it and it will release the fuel cap.

Some cars had this added afterwards by the dealer when in for a brake light replacement.
