Randomly found my old Z4 (which some of you may remember) on a website !

http://www.thehoonigan.com/2011/11/11/z4-split-wheels/

To be honest, i was planning on getting rid of my 535d and getting another Z4 - after seeing this and becoming all nostalgic i think its the right choice !

i absolutely loved this car ! longest car i have ever owned at 3.5 years.

i remember seeing this for sale before i bought mine. looks great! shame i hate silver so much

Looks good Easty, I often wonder where my first Zed is now.

Great pictures too, shame its not a very active forum.

I love that none of them said ANYTHING about the car

the first comment did actually mention the car.

My old silver twin. I had the black edition.

I'm in two minds whether to get the same LMs on this one, or alpina reps. Leaning towards alpina reps.

hi T2FFN. I remember your car actually, i saw it in the flesh and thought it did look very nice !

LM's are cool but even me with a car cleaning fetish thought they were a bit high maintenance, probably due to the deep dish rears which seemed to like collecting salt & dust !

Echo the above easty. What are you looking for this time?

I am seriously thinking of a coupe this time round (coupe was out of my budget first time round). I had the roadster and its an itch i well and truly scratched but i realized cruising round with the roof down just isn't for me. This time it has to the coupe ! - which for me still is one of the best looking cars BMW have designed for a very long time - the fact they are quite rare makes them even more appealing !

As for the E89, It still hasn't grown on me and i doubt it ever will to be honest, just not as pure in design terms as the original.

Easty, I regretted selling my silver E85 too - so now I've got a slightly younger grey one.

And it's a keeper, I learnt my lesson !

What wheels are they on your old E85 (the silver one)

I'm guessing they are 19s?

Love the way the car looks, did you have it lowered to sit like that or standard suspension set up?

Got a similar model with hard top and would love that look. Had my standard 18s re furbed but not entirely happy with the finish, thinking a change might be needed..

BBS LMs, 19" reps i believe. I had tge same, nice rims and make the car look great

Cool

Did you lower yours for that look or just a straight swap?

What the ride like on 19s too?

Better than the run flats on my 18s I'm guessing!

the wheels were: 19" BBS LM Reps - 8.5" front & 9.5" rear with 265 rear tyre & 235 fronts. I lowered it on eibach sports springs but the 3.0 sat lower anyway, so from memory (as it was a long time ago) i think the springs were something like a 10-15mm drop. And yes, the ride was a million times better on non runflat 19's rather than the runshi*e 18's !
