Found & Bought N/S Black grill with chrome outer

Bit of a long shot but if anyone has one in good condition?

Black slats, chrome outers. Would prefer genuine BMW.

Does anyone know what the difference is in quality between the BMW supplied part and these OEM ones?

I'm also looking for the same part as you! I'm considering getting the passenger side from bmminiparts.com, around £30 one VAt is added - Not sure what they charge for delivery though.

Failing that, usually BMW will give you 10% off if you ask nicely, so £36 from the dealer isn't bad for a genuine part.

The product in your ebay link is likely to be a Chinese copy - I don't have experience of these but the fit and quality may not be as good as genuine. Also, it's not much cheaper than OEM from BMW.

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for that although I do believe that part at £30 is actually the silver / silver grill rather than the silver outer, black slats one.. which should be part no 51137051957

Ive sent them a part finder price anyway so will let you know what they come back with.

You make a good point, I may just order the dealer one..
 
23.94 plus vat was the price they quoted me for the black/chrome grill, same price as the silver/chrome - not a bad price really. If you go ahead with it, let me know what they charge for postage. Failing that, I'm off to the dealer!

Cheapest postage is 2nd class £2.95 and covers up to £39 insurance wise. Total = £32.27
Alternatively 1st class is £3.35 and covers up to £39 insrance wise bringing the total to £32.75

Dealer offered me 10% off today which I calculate to be £38.60 after VAT

I'll see if he can match the price of the online one..
 
Not a bad price at all, I think I will treat myself next month! Thanks for updating me on the prices :)

Small difference between the one they sent me (genuine BMW) and the knock off one I had before once they had been fitted.

PS they also quoted £136 for aero skirts (each primed) and £609 for an M bonnet

Those skirts, are they genuine BMW or copies?

I thought so, their prices are excluding vat and delivery! so not really much cheaper than the quotes we have already seen :(

Sorry you're right, please add 27.25 for VAT (each) - Courier prices from £12.99

Brings the total of 2 aeros to £340.01
