Found a new manual trans car!

Hours spent online finally paid off.

A salesman I had talked to called me with a new delivery at a sister dealership. Car is not yet on their website. Talked to another sales agent and found the car is just off the trailer, not yet prepped. After viewing the window sticker I left a $5K deposit to hold the car. Green not my favorite color, all black rims (not a fan) and every option except frozen paint. 3% discount off MSRP and $2k more for my trade-in Fiat Spider than Carvana.

Its a 3 hour drive and I have high hopes.

My wife likes the Z4 and is encouraging me to splurge. It might be the bigger trunk so she can bring more stuff. The Fiat has a really small trunk and a tight passenger seat and we have taken it 0n 6000+ mile camping trips 3 times. I'm still amazed that I could find a woman my age (75+) who will still tent camp, so I want to make her happy.

Go for it and enjoy it while you can. You never know what is round the next bend.👍

Enjoy…that’s a great lady..much better than living the latter part of your life in a motor home!🫡🤔😂🏎

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on finding a manual G29, and having a wife who encourages you to buy it - most want to stop you!

As the very proud and lucky owner of a Handschalter Z4, I would encourage anyone to buy one whilst you can. However, if you are unsure over the green, the final edition just launched and you may still be able to obtain a build slot

I'm not enamored with the color, but my wife loves it; so we brought it home! She has been encouraging me to spend the money, so I'd better keep her happy.

It will take me days to fully understand all the options available through the screen. I figured out the Cruise control on the 3 hour ride home. Got the Nav screen oriented to my preference. Seat is linked to my key. I can spend time with the manual instead of watching football.

Congratulations  So before you go and spend an age trying to figure out all the settings, first, we require photos please :)

and then, go find some tight bends or junctions and fully explore second gear, it'll put such a smile on your face :driving:

I'm not sure about the green (or black wheels), but it goes well with the Cognac interior and as True-Blue says the front looks so much cleaner without a plate.

I like the the colour. It’s just a bit out of the ordinary and as Iain says it goes well with the upholstery.👍

Back ins September, I spoke to a lot of dealers about a new z4 and seem to be top of their list when something comes up.

I know of 1 available in the uk, unregistered.
