Found a new IDrive feature today...

So after all these years of e89 ownership, I found a new feature today.

The speech recognition being what it is.. I announced 'music search' to which the IDrive responded by taking me to the saved journeys in the Nav.

About to repeat my command I looked at the screen to see it show an option for tours.

Having never noticed this before I clicked it to find I could get a list of 15 or so tours in the UK and many more for other countries. It stated the length of each tour in distance, days and stop over options (hotels).

Never seen that before and thought ooh that's quite neat....

Interesting, I expect you're now use to the Mercedes Command voice recognition which works 99% of the time

The Merc linguatronic system is better.. But not perfect.

I was surprised to find the pre set tours in the Idrive though, genuinely.

My car usually decides to call my boss when I use the voice command function.

The tours function is pretty nice. Some good ones for North Wales there. I've not used the function before but they are all roads in my backyard.

yes, these have been there for years. There are some nice Scottish routes.
