FORWARD FACING CHILD SEAT THAT FITS

MY DAUGHTER IS FINALLY OLD ENOUGH TO FIT IN A FORWARD FACING CAR SEAT. SINCE I DON'T HAVE THE AIRBAG DEACTIVATION THIS MEANS I CAN FINALLY TAKE HER IN THE M.
CAN ANYONE POINT OUT A CAR SEAT THAT FITS WELL IN OUR SEATS? MY WIFE HAS A MAXI TOBI AND THAT IS STILL A BIT TOO WIDE TO FIT WELL FOR MY LIKING. I MANAGED TO INSTALL IT WITH TOWELS ALL AROUND TO AVOID DAMAGE TO TEH LEATHER. ALSO IS THERE ANY PADDING OUT THERE THAT IS MEANT FOR OUR SEATS WHEN INSTALLING THE CHILD SEAT?

THANKS

Stop shouting! Oh, you're excited :D

I'd recommend going into a Halfords and see if they'll let you try the display models in the car

Oops sorry :)
problem is that i don't live in the uk. no halfords here. I thought of going to various outlets to try out different brands. just thought i'd see if anyone managed to find one that fits well first.

thanks

I use a Britax non isofix group 1+ seat for my two year old.

Thanks for that. I went round the shops and managed ti fit a mamas & papas vito and a Jane racing with no problems. I don't believe we get britax to malta.

Surely you should still deactivate the airbag door a child, even when forward facing?

I thought airbags were designed for adults and should be deactivated for those under about 12 or 14?

My airbags don't deactivate in the zed, neither did they in the MR2 or my husband's focus, but the advice is to move the seat as far backwards as possible. It's not ideal, but when needs must.
