Forum Wealth Warning

I have owned my Zed for 5 1/2 years, nearly 5 years were spent in happy ignorance of all the things that can be done to customise or rides, changing only the things that needed changing tyres, oil, windsreen wipers, etc, since getting invovled with the Forum at the start of the year when looking for some info on a Boot rack of all things, I have spent a fortune buying things for the Zed that I didn't know I needed, a thought has just occurred to me that we are warned about everything these days so maybe there should be a very large warning on the front page of the forum warning all new members that entering the forum can seriously damage your wealth :?

you know what?

You are actually 100% correct - Ive spent alot more on this car than I ever have before :o

Heh, same as any of these car/owners forums I've been involved in :D

The amount of time and money you save by gaining knowledge on how to fix a certain problem is immediately offset by the new ideas and shiney trinkets that you have to buy as a result of seeing them in their sparkly glory on someone else's car

Pah - upgrading the car is nothing. Thanks to the forum I had to upgrade to an M ... 8)

Ha... I was going to post something similar- asking what have you done that you wouldn't have otherwise! A friend of mine is an active member on 911UK and now has the new XKR... he refuses to join an XKR forum for the very reason that he can't again go down the road of feeling like a second class citizen because he doesn't have a carbon fibre handbrake! Or worrying about issues with the car he would have been oblivious to otherwise.

Personally I’ve gone from never even having heard of a stubby a few months ago now I’m thinking about fiddling with the suspension, changing body parts or even swapping for something with a bigger engine! In fact this weekend I was planning on putting a speculative ad on PH at a high price to maybe change for a 3.0... or if I go silly an M.

Great forum though

on previous cars i have pimped them as far as a new airfreshener. Since joining this forum i am addicted to adding/changing elements of the car. I am now at the stage of wondering what to do next, as i seem to have covered off everything i had on my original 'to do' list !

its like a drug...

True. After seeing Breaker's OEM carbon diffuser, I bought one too. :headbang:

But I also gained a set of new 108s from BMW after finding out many successful claims from this forum. :D
