forum usernames

I've been using mine for years ..... on everything, its the name of .......... errrrrrr my old racing team that I had when I lived in Holland and its just stuck ........

Name I used for Larping a lot in the past.

Its also fairly unique, and a very very obscure reference to a classic series of books.

During the earlier days of the internet, forums were regarded as the home of the geek..........Lance was the geekiest name I came up with at the time, been using it for many years now on many forums.

Cheers
Colin

Back in the early days (can you call 97/98 early days?) my username of choice was BigFatAss (south park reference). As the Internet increased in popularity "swear" words became less acceptible and some systems stopped allowing them so I started using BFA. Then with the advent of in-game voice chat, 3 syllables became too much so people started saying biffa.

Probably not what your thinking - 1st email address I ever had - hotmail suggested it, but I no longer have it...

I would like to change come to think of it... my username is usually 'stumpjumper' (type of MTB I ride)

(I tried once - but now I know why I couldn't change it) - and I don't think hotride sounds too unique when we all own the same car... except mine has tastier mods :P

Strangely enough ............ your car was not the first thing I thought about when I saw the word "Hotride......." :D :D

Mine is derived from No Satellite signal From my days working for Sky TV.

Mine is a Fire Brigade nickname that has stuck for 20 years.

Back in the day (swings lightshade!) not long after I had joined my 1st Watch as a Firefighter, the Fire Service decided to bring computers into the offices of the Fire Stations to deal with admin.

Now the watch I joined were all 'long in the tooth' Fireman who didn't even know how to turn a computer on!

Anyway the Watch needed a volunteer to transfer all our local risk drawn plans we carried on the pump to computerised versions. So who got the job.......me! Off I went to attend a coral draw course (remember it is 1991!)

Shiney.......Every time the horrible cleaning jobs needed doing the Sub Officer used to say "right lads...can we get in the bays and sort the truck out, except you Luke (me!) you can go in the office and carry on with your computer stuff!

The boys soon start to get the hump and thats where it started.....there he is sat in the office, SHINING the seat of his pants! And from the 'shining' banter came SHINEY! (28 is my birthday)

I've made it to the dizzy heights of Sub Officer now (or Watch Manager should I say). Needless to say everyone who works for me pulls their weight equally. No cushy jobs for anyone!

People used to call me hyperactive at school because I had loads of energy - developed into the nickname hype. I've registered with a hell of a lot of forums with this name!

ZermattV is short for Zermatt Vulgaris my user name on Land Rover sites -

Zermatt Silver was the most common colour for Discovery 3s like my old one hence Zermatt Vulgaris.

Taz you have a tattoo - let me guess "coupe drivers do it hard" written in Arabic or that's what you asked for but is not necessarily what you got :D
