Sorry Gents posted in the comments thread earlier, dime bar
Anyhow here's my old 911SC, I had it for just over 10 yrs and had a full strip and repaint, there was only the dashboard left in it, I bought it off of my friend who owned for 8 yrs previously, and he too did a full strip down and rebuild, originally it was a 188BHP Ice Metallic Blue SC with Blue Pascha ( I think that's how you spell it, 80's psycho check to you and me ) he rebuilt the engine and put on later 204BHP barrels and Pistons, stainless exhaust, heat exchangers and had the interior re trimmed in light grey leather with blue piping by Southbound, correct pinholes in the leather too, 16 per square inch iirc! Being a mechanic he also rebuilt the 915 gearbox and did some cylinder head work too, full inside and out colour change to a 90's Porsche Colour called Cobalt Blue, finally a set of Wider Turbo Fuchs, about 7 yrs into my ownership there were signs of rust on the front wings and B pillars so I bit the bullet and had another strip down and repaint, repairing the B posts, Kidney Bowls and a pair of new front wings, i also had a pair of RUF Yellowbird Fibreglass bumpers out on, not everyone's cup of tea but I liked them, i really loved this car, but towards the end I saw it as a piece of art, if I could've kept it on a pedestal I would've done, I think it was beautiful, anyway my brother in law said his friend had seen it and wanted to buy it, which got me thinking what would I have next?
Well I had an Alpina D3BT as a company car so thought about a Z4 Alpina or Boxster S, then I read the EVO magazine article which included the ///M and decided on the ///M as you know!
In the end I could've sold it 5 times, the first guy had to sell his car before buying mine so I advertised it on PH, I had 2 guys from Ireland flying in, a guy from Cambridge and 2 from London, I told them 1st cone 1st served, in the end a guy from Bury beat them all to it and still has it I believe, great car.
