original guvnor said:If it's anything like the BMW car club they have an 'official' designation with the manufacturer, which means they can offer things a forum can't - like discounted parts etc.
Marlon said:Joining a generic BMW owners club just doesn't appeal to me, I don't feel there's much in common between, for instance, a Z4 owner and a X5 owner other than the badge. If there was a specific Z4 owners club I would definitely be interested.
original guvnor said:That's your choice but they organise a load of good stuff - like the Zed parade lap at the Silverstone Classic etc. Unless you've tried it and joined you'll never know.
It's nice to be a member of a club wider than just Z4's.

I dunno about that , ive had 10/15 different BMWs & never felt the urge to join the club or for that matter meet up with other owners of 3,5,6 & Xseries cars that ive owned , the Z has a bit more character about it , possibly down to being a 2 seater ?
I like lots of other BMW's as well. I've owned various E30's [incl. an M3original guvnor said:Because I like lots of other BMW's too. How specific do you get? If it was model specific do you then have several Z4 owners clubs - one for Coupes, one for Roadsters, one for E89, one for Z4M's etc.thepits said:original guvnor said:It's nice to be a member of a club wider than just Z4's.
