Forum keyring-

What about something along this line... fairly industrial but the forum URL as a cutout, so no sharp edges:

I like this - if the 'Z4' bit of the URL is styled a la BMW (so like the keying on the other thread) then that would work for me. I think anything replicating the tax disc holders and stickers like above gets too intricate to machine and could break, or gets to fussy. Plus, with all due respect to Monkey Master, this idea is about the forum brand, not his... Though I don't think he suggested putting his logo on there :? :D

So you mean have the Z4 but embossed and the -forum bit cut out?

Nope - the Z4 could be cut out too, just in the same style (font ?) as it appears on our cars and the official BMW keying. Unless there are copyright issues with that :?

Ah right, yeah, I do think that could be inviting trouble. I know the Mini crowd got a stern warning from BMW along those lines

if someone wants to email me a design ill cut it into a bit of plastic on the miller thingy to see what its like and post pics. ideally a black/white non interlaced version as it will make it load up into the software quick.

i need a new keyring so well up for this

F**k BMW, organise privately and they will never know :-)

Were the mini crowd selling them? Often if you ask they might not have any problems. I doubt any of the people selling hub caps/dust covers etc on eBay have asked.

How about something like this, i just lashed it though the machine to see. made out of something polished and a tad smaller is something i would like.

That's not the forum branding though, it doesn't contain the url for a start.

Nice crafting though

Nice! -looks very classy!

I love this idea!! Any chance we could mock up an Z4M variant also?

Something like this, if machined well into decent metal might work:

You could also have an outline of the site banner e89 on the back... Though that might start putting people off.

I've tried outlining it before and it doesn't work so well. Might work as a rubber keyring, as below:

That said, I tend to think a classy, rather than novelty, keyring might be more popular.
