My Dad just text me, he is in Spain and wanted to go watch the F1 practice in Valencia, as its a street race can you just go and watch the practice for free? I assume only tickets avail are for race day?

Anyone shed any light on this one? I had a quick look on the net but could only see race day tickets.

Thanks for any help.

i would just go down and take the chance. if its not too far that is. if there are public streets leading to it then how could they stop him

It is a street race in that the course is laid out using the public street system.

HOWEVER, most of the circuit will have barriers around and ticket-only areas so that no-one can wander around without paying (unless you live in a house overlooking the circuit as in Monaco).

I've been to quite a few F1 races and there will DEFINITELY be tickets available at the circuit. In the case of Valencia, it's the worst attended race so he'll even be able to get race day tickets if he's still there. Alonso is back in the race now so it should be worth going.
