Few weeks ago I decided to plastidip my side mirrors black because i had some left over and my vinyl wrap seams were coming apart on the mirror .... for the 7th time
.
Turned out ok but wasn't 100% happy with the gloss as Plastidip glossifier has never really delivered proper shine.
I did like the look though so I decided to try some Autodip instead.
Never going to use plastidip again!
2 minute jobby on my dirty, unprepped iced coffee cup cap vs my full effort (waited for a hot non-windy day, heated up each can) Plastidip'ed mirror.
Main difference from what I read is that plastidip is rubber based, whereas Autodip is vinyl based. They claim is essentially sprayable vinyl wrap... and after my little test today I have to say that they ain't lying.
It also feels smooth liky my vinyl wrap and takes to waxing the same way - unlike plastidip's rubbery finish.
