Ford Focus Mk1 1.8

Hi all,

Need some advice on what people think I should be expecting to sell my Focus for:

It's a Mark 1 Focus, 1.8 petrol, 3 door Zetec, 80,000 miles, 2001 (Y reg), in generic Ford blue! It also has full black leather interior which is pretty rare, and makes it a much nicer place to be in than the standard cloth. AC and all that too... (piccies below)

I bought it a couple of years ago, and it served me well, being quite good fun with the zetec suspension setup. The 1.8 is a pretty good engine too. Since I bought the Z, its been sat in my dads driveway, as the plan was to give it to the girlfriend. She's since been told that she can have her Nana's honda jazz, so the focus has to be sold.

I'm slightly reluctant to sell it, as I bought it for £1800 with full Ford servicing, 1 owner from new. I've since done the following:

  • Serviced twice (Oil and filter, pollen filter, spark plugs, air filter)
  • New disks and pads on the front
  • Four new Michelin Energy Saver tyres (cost £300) a couple of thousand miles ago
  • Changed the cambelt, aux belt and pulleys
  • Changed the sump as it was rusty and had a hole in it
  • Replaced all 4 door speakers with Alpines (low power spec so can be driven off standard HU)

So... It was a brilliant car when I bought it, and I've done a fair bit of work on it since, hence when selling it I want to get a decent price for it, as someone will get a good, well looked after car.

Think I would get £1400 for it? All opinions welcome! Car is currently in Manchester, SORNed, so no Tax or Insurance. Currently has 3 months MOT left. (Note, standard stereo will be going back in).
