For those of you with narrow garages-

You can gain 6" or so on either side if you opt for a folding garage door - we had the conventional up and over door that requires wooden side frames - had an Elan at the time that only just fitted through the doors ( 6'4" wide including wing mirrors ). Door was getting a bit tatty so had it replaced with the folding type that meant the two side frames of the garage could be removed making it substantially easier to get the car in. The bad news the new door cost £1200.

I keep the zed in the garage - avoids bird poo , protects against the dreaded roof motor failure and stays clean and dry.
