Yes, love the programme. It's very well produced and they do a cracking job of the restos. They must have a large team at their disposal to get the jobs finished in the timescale they say they do it in though Looks like this series they're going to put the cars through the auction at the end of each programme which is good.
Regarding installing the engine before painting the car, that's the way to do it to avoid any damage to the fresh paint. There's always a lot of heaving and shoving when putting engines in - especially a big lump like that Aston. I always did it that way when I was into restoring classics, Paint the engine bay first, drop in the motor then mask up and paint the car. It also means you can get all the wiring sorted and ancilleries in without having to worry about scratching paint. Some restorers do instal the motor after body painting but the potential for damage is very high so most do it engine first.
