The Prestige. Anyone seen it?

Watched it last night for the second time, one of those delightfully rare films that's even better the second time you watch it. A truly fucking fantastic film IMO.

Am I just being a bit over the top because I've just seen it or is it a travesty it's never even considered when thinking of a "top 20 films" or whatever.

For me it was a good film but not a great one.
Will have to watch again as it is highly rated on IMDB but couldn't of grabbed me the first time.

First time I watched it was good, not great. Second time it was excellent.

It's good but the problem is that magic doesn't translate we'll in movies as they ARE magic, anything can be done on the big screen. Also, the Nikolai Tesla (probably spelt that wrong) 'cloning' thing seemed too far fetched against the idea of a grand illusion, a bit of a Deus Ex Machina. All of which sounds like I'm negging but I do actually like it.

I saw it in the cinema... great cast (batman begins + Scarlett johannson )

But wasnt overly memorable.

Only god forgives is all style and no substance unfortunately Carol, I loved Drive and Bronson so had high hopes but its just really boring and slow paced with no real plot. The super violence that's been raised didn't really seem that affecting and I have seen worse so that wasn't an issue, it's just that it looked sooooo good that's such a disappointment.

Thank god, thought it was just me. Thought I was missing something.
I've never seen people walk out of a cinema before.

Rush looks fantastic, unfortunately I have a feeling it will bomb at the box office as I can't see it generating a lot of interest especially over the pond.

I can't see it generating a lot of interest due to the advertising. They make it look like Taladega Nights.

I hated Bronson. I really looked forward to seeing it which is possibly why it never lived up to my expectations.
