Did a couple of cool things this weekend. Started by filming the under side of the car with a GoPro as I was not sure whether my vibration at 70mph was wheels or driveline and also wanted to see if control arms were moving much under load and such. Good news is control arms seem fine, other news is my front wheels are definitely not balanced properly, thanks tire shop...
Good thing for the forum is that I put a short video on Youtube! https://youtu.be/ekh6MaJC5AE

Second cool thing, even though some people have surely confirmed with track setups or the testing APEX wheel has done on E46 is that a 9J ET40 rim with 255/35R18 fits very well at the front, can squeeze a finger between the strut. I swapped front and rear wheel to confirm the imbalance was only on one/both front wheels and the behavior would change. If I was to do a track setup, 9J ET42 square would probably be the way :driving:

The fitment looks cool, but I'd be surprised if a car as light as the Z4 needed 9" wheels (presumably with 245/255 all round) on track unless you're running slicks for some kind of time attack setup.

I track mine with 8J and 225 tyres, and it provides bloody loads of grip with the right tyres and alignment.
