Hello fellow Z4 enthusiasts :)

The time has come to sell my much loved and cherished Z4 3.0si. I've had this car since July 2011 and it's been extremely well looked after, as the pictures will show. The exterior and interior colours compliment each other perfectly and it is a joy to drive. Sadly a need for rear seats forces me to sell and I will be genuinely sad to see it go.

£6,795

Significant Details:
2007 Z4 3.0si (Post Facelift model)
Montego Blue Exterior
Champayne Nappa Leather Interior with Piano Black Trim
117k miles (mostly motorway)
Full BMW Dealership Service History
MOT until 23/7/16

This car comes with a lot of standard features and includes the following optional extras:
18 inch alloys
Individual Nappa Leather (finest quality)
Xenon Headlights
Cruise Control
Park Distance Control (PDC)
Seat Heating
Wind Deflector
Storage Pack

Hello,
Great looking car and apparently in great condition. The mileage spooks me a bit though. What do other forum members think about this mileage on an obviously well maintained car? Is there any obvious weak spot which may crop up such as gearbox, hood motor or whatever?
Many Thanks,
Bill

Providing the price paid reflects the mileage then the actual mileage wouldn't concern me if properly cared for
117K shouldn't offer up any problem's on a Z4 that a 75k car wouldn't if maintained correctly
I would always buy a used car on condition , history , owners ( ideally see the seller as opposed to a dealer car ) & the way it drives

Average mileage is 12,000 per year, so you would reasonably expect a ten year old car to have at least 120,000 miles?

It may seem a lot because many Zeds are second or third cars coming out only in nice weather. Would you be bothered if that mileage was on a ten year old 3 series?

Buy on condition and proof of maintainance

Hello,

Some very useful and fair points mentioned. The car as you rightly say has been very well looked after and treated with TLC, with by far most the miles being done on the M4 pottering along in 6th gear (around 2500rpm). I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage (although I appreciate its a bit above average) as the engine still runs very sweetly. Gearbox is exactly as it was when I picked it up. I've heard of the some hood motors failing but mine is absolutely fine. I've had a new xenon bulb and side light fitted and an all new horn as the old one stopped working.

Personally if I bought it I'd stick a new set of front tyres on in a few months, have it serviced again and enjoy some fun open top motoring
