Hi,

First dibs on the Black Professional Head Unit please.
Let me know how you would like payment (Paypal, electronic transfer etc?).

Ian.

Here's a link to a 627 on a Z4, which will give you an example of what it looks like installed and open. (youtube has many videos of the 729 in operation)

I stupidly didn't take any pictures with it in but it fits better than that unit with the bracket provided, but I'd recommend the OE bracket like he's mentioned.
I'll take images of all the items you'll get so you can see what to expect.

I would say major bargin  I more or less the same set up in my Z, my head unit is the older
KVT-522 DVD + all the other goodies that is on your list, on the ipod you have full control, the Bluetooth again more than you would expect, down load and send text, the Nav uses Garmin which is great, and the Traffic module i have only just fitted last week but seems to give good info of problems out on the road. All in all a great set up, a steal for the price you are asking.
Good luck with the sale, ( but you may miss it i would not off swopped for a stock system my self  )

I used to have the stock system in my e46 and I like the simplicity of it; and the intravee too.

That 729 has some great features like the traffic ahead warnings allowing you to take detours end without a planned route, it also works in the background so you may not even be using nav and it warns you of traffic.

The Dension Ice link Plus - i presume this is not the DICE unit?
If not - does this show MP3 tags on the nav unit like the DICE does?
My DICE has packed up and so was looking for a quick and cheap replacement rather than going the intravee route! :)

To be fair I haven't used it on the nav system. however it works best with the business system as it only needs one line of text.

The top line where you'll see track 01-001 will be where the text will be displayed.

You can upgrade the densions firmware to display text on the business system. I have the files if you want them

This one already displays text, well it did when I was using it, not sure if you need other files dependant on the headunit

Many thanks to th30d0r3 on the standard Z4 head unit. It arrived quickly and well packed and is now installed and playing MP3's.

Thanks

Yep, I changed the fascia for the original grey item. The flat ribbon cable connector took a couple of seconds to sort out how the release worked. I even managed to pop out the air vents in 30 seconds not the 30 minutes that it took the first time I tried it when I fitted the aux cable.

Thanks again.

Yes it does, it's like a step up from the AUX cable since it uses the CD changer interface to allow for full control of the IPOD itself whilst it's hidden away in the glovebox or centre console.
It also allows for track information to be displayed on the head unit. they're no longer made and the vastly superior Intravee 2 would be the wiser choice, but this is a £20 (used and forum rates) option that probably costs as much as the AUX install.
