shipkiller it's all yours

I find that I shouldn't spend anymore money into the car except to maintain because it's just too old, and not worth it.

It will, but there's a but of wiring harness you'll need to power it; runs to the headlight controls, iirc.

I believe so, yes. I think it's just a couple of wires, power and ground, no big deal. Heck, you might even already have the harness. The earliest cars appear to have been wired for everything, whether it was installed or not, so retrofits are easier.

I just took my Airbag off, and this is what I found.

Now my next question, will his steering wheel work on my Zed????? :cry:

Shipkiller , that MFSW would fit your car.
I retrofitted one to my Brothers Z4 today (build date 06/03) and that required the extra two wires. On the picture you took of your steering wheel multiplugs it is the one on the far right that links the MFSW to the car. Fitting the extra loom (that only costs £4.80) was easy;

1. Diconnect battery, wait 20 mins.
2. Remove airbag unit and old steering wheel.
3. Remove dashpod ( only one connector and 1 torx screw!).
4. Remove lower cowling (1 screw).
5. Remove light switch unit (gently prise off aluminium trim and then 2 screws and one connector).
6. Run loom from light switch connector to green connector under steering column.
7. Replace light switch unit, dash pod, lower cowling and steering wheel/airbag.
8. Reconnect battery.
9. Have coffee and decide how to spend the £200 BMW charge (and you have saved) to do this enjoyable little mod that only takes 30 minutes.
