Sat nav build into head unit runs from a DVD drive - never used but it does work.
2 cup holders
Premium sound system with amp in the boot.
Wind deflector kit

I have owned the car since February 2017 so 3 and half years, since then I have covered around 8000 miles. During that time it has lived a pampered life in my garage. A weekend use car along with the occasional drive to work on a sunny day.
I have never driven it on wet salty roads, it has been SORN every year over the winter months (Nov to Feb). During my ownership it has only been filled with premium fuel. (Shell V power or Tesco Momentum - I have kept all fuel receipts so I can prove this)

During my ownership the car has had the following work carried out

4 services - oil and filter change every year, brake and coolant every other year. (have invoices for this)
Replacement cam cover gasket.
Compete new rear brake lines.
Roof motor relocated to boot - with matching carpeted cover (work completed by forum member No5)
Gaptec roof remote control module installed.
New front nearside brake calliper
New inner and outer track rod ends August this year - March 2020 MOT advisory just before lockdown happened.
4 wheel tracking August.
Full paint correction and machine polish - paint looks super for 17 year old car.
Modified standard BMW back box to give a sportier sound. I also have the original back box, which can be refitted (or sold I guess) - this will be included with the sale if the new owner wants it.
The car has a BMW ZHP gear stick.
Other than the gear stick and back box the car is standard.

The previous owner (ex-forum member) had the DISA valve replaced, along with a new battery and alternator (have invoices) he also changed the gearbox oil and had the wheels refurbished, the wheels are not kerbed and in excellent condition. The roof is in very good mechanical and physical condition.

The car has been faultless for me and never failed or caused me any headaches. The engine and gear box feel great, it drives very well.

The bodywork, paint and wheels are in excellent condition for age and mileage, the car really turns heads on a sunny day. I have had comments from people at petrol stations and at traffic lights which is nice. The car's interior is in very good condition.

Bad points.
Front tyres coming to the end of their life - a job for the new owner.
Windscreen has a small chip in the middle it has been there since I purchased the car - doesn't fail the MOT and is only picked up depending on how good the inspector's eyesight is / how clean the glass is. It is the original BMW windscreen - car would benifit from a new one.
Last MOT was around the start of Lockdown - the "play in steering head bearing" was nonsense it was in fact a worn track rods ends - which I have had replaced - have invoice.
Some wear to drivers seat right hand side - nothing major at all really.

Why am I selling? After 3 and half years I fancy a change so need the money and garage space for a different car yet to be decided. However I'm in no great rush to sell and I will be sorry to see the car go.

I will be happy to take anyone wishing to view the car out for a drive, provided you and I agree to wear a mask. You will only be able to drive the car yourself if you prove you have fully comp insurance and can convince me you're a serious buyer IE you will buy the car if test drive is to your statisfaction. Please note, I never drive the car on wet roads regretfully that rule will not be broken for test drives unless you're going to buy it.

That's it really - this is a nice car for someone.
Please PM if you want to discuss..
Thank you.

Just noticed the car is fitted with black kidney grills - I have the orginal OEM silver and chrome ones which will be included with the sale!

Now that is a great example of that era. I would be very tempted by that if I had a garage space free for it (still waiting for my daughter to take her car ...).

Thanks guys.
I have taken good care of it and it hasn't been an easy decision to post this advert, I've had it drafted for 2 or 3 weeks but couldn't bring myself to click submit. It'll be a sad day when it leaves my garage for the last time.

Looks like a lovely car...I would definitely be interested. Would pm you but as I have only registered here recently I can't yet.... Perhaps you could pm me if it's still available so I could arrange to see it. Cheers.

Hi sent you a pm.
Let me know if you've got it.
Thanks.

Hi LordOxygen,
This is an amazing example. I wish you would have posted it 2-3 days ago when I saw "mine"
I almost concluded a deal for a well-kept one (but with something that I'm not completely sure about). Please let me know yours is still available, or if you are already concluding with Grover(I can't send you a PM due to being a new member).
Cheers!

It was just refreshing to see a car in that condition compared to the number of horrors I have seen recently for £1k less that would require about £4k to get it up to scratch to this level (not to mention that they have gone to the moon and back).

Evening.

Someone is coming to see the car in a couple of days. If that doesn't lead to a sale Grover is next inline.Stefano is in 3rd place for a viewing.

Trying to be as fair as I can.
