Why not stick to the forum rules, put a price on it and sell it here with no eBay fees?

Anyhow, GLWTS, this is the best iPod integration solution.

1. I'm selling the item on eBay.
2. It's an auction, so I won't know the price until it's sold.

I could put the start price on (£145), but that might be misleading. I'm not trying to be difficult. I've bought and sold here before very happily. I looked at the forum for similar sales and at eBay too, but I couldn't establish the value, so auction seems fair.

I've notified people of the auctions on this forum because I know these are desirable bits of kit and a happy buyer from the same stable makes a happy seller. Am I really in breach of rules?

Thanks for looking.

Forum is not for auctions - rules state you must put a sale price :poke:

Put your "buy it now" price on here but state it's on eBay as an auction, and on eBay state at it's for sale elsewhere and you reserve the right to end the auction early. Then you're within the rules in both places.

If you get an offer you're happy with here you save some of your auction fees and someone here gets a desirable mod at a price they're happy with.

Thanks Stuart, helpful. My original post shows its on sale on eBay. And now the Buy it Now price too.

Alan J, I am not conducting an auction on this forum, simply notifying members of it's existence on eBay!

But this is a marketplace to buy and sell on this forum.

It's not a 'Please post links to items you have for sale on other sites'.

What if forum members don't have an eBay account?

£200 for a second hand Intravee and KCA-420i is still a bit steep dude.

A brand spanking new Intravee II is £156 delivered from

http://www.toysinyourcar.com/acatalog/intravee.html

and a second hand Alpine KCA-420i can usually be qite easily obtained via Ebay auction for around £40 delivered (there is one on there now with bidding at a tenner with 15 hours left to go plus a couple with BIN or best offer at £50).

So Forum members can easily get a brand new Intravee with a second hand Alpine unit for the same price that you are offering second hand versions of both.

Good luck on the bay but for me your numbers just don't add up. :?

The only cable that doesn't come with the kit is the Serial to USB cable.

Toys in your car offer a short (30cm) or extra long (5m) AiNET as an extra but I think the Alpine comes with a medium size one in the box.

The full kits seem to go between £160 and £180 on the Fourm. You may have more luck on eBay though as it seems to be full of halfwits willing to pay almost new prices for 2nd hand goods.

With all the cables? Sold separately on toysinyourcar.

The cables come with the Alpine. You do need a serial cable for firmware updating of the Intravee though. Got mine off Ebay for a fiver.

For second hand definitely overpriced in my opinion......might as well purchase new!!

Worth £150 max as a secondhand purchase!

For info of future sellers, as I struggled to value this kit, £225 was the winning bid.

I know that this is a good price given that the Intravee is now back on sale and the Alpine can be bought second-hand for reasonable coinage.
